NMR Processing with Topspin under Windows XP
Processing with Topspin under Windows XP is very similar to using the spectrometers and this document contains some local differences.
See the Bruker manual for further details.
Windows XP
NMR data from each of the instruments is automatically copied to the "N" drive where it is accessible for processing with preferably Topspin ( or WINNMR-1D ).
Data Transfer
All of the NMR Linux computers running spectrometers have "SAMBA" software installed, which means that the NMR data is transferred automatically using Microsoft network type protocols.
Getting Help
The most up-to-date help is in Topspin itself. Click on help -> contents to get the full Topspin manual in acrobat format.
Importing into Word, Powerpoint etc
Importing into Word, Powerpoint etc. is very straightforward. Simply plot to the clipboard from TopSpin. Go directly into Word etc and select paste.
Archiving on CDs/DVDs
It is highly recommended that NMR data be archived directly from the N drive onto suitable media such as CD, DVD or USB memory.
Using Explorer, open the network drive and go into your NMR directory, where you should see the names of data sets. Copy to your favourite media.
